Functions:

Circulation staff to:

1.       Help readers search for books through OPAC and help search for books in stock.

2.       Perform borrowing procedures on the books you wish to read.

3.       Ensure all library materials are in good order for circulation throughout the school year.

4.       Maintaining and preserving the books in stock.

5.       Administers withdrawal policy for students to transfer schools and work.

The Circulation Section is on the first floor of the Library, which includes - borrowing and returning. Approximately 92,400 books, 20,150 titles are housed in the Library. It is divided into two sections: one section houses the books to be read on a regular basis, and the other section stores the text books, curriculum books which are loaned on a semester basis. Books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. It is easy to locate a book in the stack area. Open storage, combined with OPAC (online public access catalog) is used to find books.

Before entering the library, bags must be left at the bag keeping section on the ground floor, bring your Library card and wear correct uniform.

As you enter the Library, present your library card at the returns desk to register your entry to the Library.

Find the books you need and in the stack area, there are places to sit and read your book before deciding to borrow them.

When you have decided to borrow the books, take the books and your library card to the borrowing counter and present them to the Library staff, who will enter the details into the computer.
